8 Warranty & legal notices

8.1 Standard manufacturer warranty#

iChessOne provides a manufacturer warranty for the iChessOne chessboard to the original purchaser.

For customers located in the European Union (EU), the iChessOne chessboard is covered by a two-year warranty period from the date of purchase, in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection laws.

For customers located outside the European Union, iChessOne provides a one-year limited manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and operating conditions.

The warranty does not apply to software, firmware-related issues, or consumable components such as batteries, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

If a defect is discovered within the applicable warranty period, the customer should contact iChessOne Customer Support at info@ichess.one and provide proof of purchase together with a description of the issue.

The iChessOne team will assess the reported problem and provide instructions for repair, replacement, or other appropriate resolution.

For customers in the EU, this warranty is provided in addition to statutory consumer rights and does not limit or replace any legal guarantees provided under applicable EU or national consumer protection laws.

Note: This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, improper handling, accidents, unauthorized modifications, improper storage, or use outside the intended operating conditions.

Software-related issues are handled under separate software support policies.
