4.1 LED indicators and game feedback#
The LEDs confirm moves, show your opponent’s moves and help identify board errors. Their colors, blinking and brightness can be adjusted in Game Settings.
4.1.1 Status bar behavior#
Game start and player colors
The status bar on your assigned side lights green when an online or AI game starts. In offline 1v1 play, green also identifies the player to move when a game resumes.
Game result
| Status bar | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Winning side |
| Red | Losing side |
| Orange on both sides | Draw |
Errors and connection
- An invalid move makes the status bar flash red several times. Correct the position as indicated.
- When a mobile device connects, blue lights run along the status bar.
- When it disconnects, the LEDs turn off in sequence.
4.1.2 Move confirmation and available moves#
- Lift a piece. Its starting square lights up.
- If Highlight Available Moves is enabled, legal destination squares also light up. Otherwise, only the starting square is shown.
- Place the piece on its destination. The square flashes briefly to confirm detection, then both squares return to normal.
4.1.3 Opponent's moves#
- Watch the highlighted starting and destination squares for the opponent’s move.
- Move the opponent’s piece to the indicated destination.
- The lights turn off when the board recognizes the position. Continue the game.
Colors and steady or blinking behavior follow your Game Settings.
