30-Day Return Window

You can return your iChessOne board or accessories within 30 days of receiving your order. The product must be unused, undamaged, and handled only as necessary to check its condition and basic functionality. The set has to be complete - this includes all pieces, cables, inserts, accessories, documents, and anything else originally included in the box. The board and electronics must be fully functional and undamaged, including the board surface, sensors, USB-C port, charging system, buttons, indicators, and all included chess pieces.

How to Start a Return

To begin the return process, contact us at info@ichess.one. Please contact us before sending anything back, so we can help you choose the easiest return option. In most cases, we can arrange a door-to-door pickup with our courier, usually using an economy service such as FedEx International Connect Plus

You can also return the product yourself using any reliable courier service of your choice. In that case, you are responsible for the shipment, tracking, proper packaging, and delivery to our return address. Returns sent without prior contact may be delayed or refused.

Return Shipping Costs

If you are returning a product simply because you changed your mind, the cost of shipping the product back is your responsibility.

If you received an item that is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered, we cover the return shipping cost by arranging a standard return pickup or providing a prepaid return label using a carrier and service selected by us.

Condition and Packaging

We do not require the original external shipping carton, but the product must be properly protected in transit. Damage caused by inadequate packaging - including cracks, dents, scratches, damage to the board surface, damage to chess pieces, damage to the USB-C port, loose internal parts, battery damage, or electronic damage - will be treated as customer-caused damage.

Damage and Loss of Value

If the returned product shows signs of use, is incomplete, or has been damaged after delivery, we assess the loss of value individually.

For example, replacing a single chess piece may reduce the refund by a small amount, while substantial damage to the board, electronics, sensors, charging system, or casing will result in a higher deduction. Any calculated loss of value is deducted from the final refund.

Sale Items

Products purchased on sale can be returned under the same conditions as regular-priced items. There are no restrictions here.

Returns from Outside the EU

If you return a product from outside the European Union, you are responsible for any customs duties or import fees that may be charged when the product re-enters the EU. These costs are not refundable.

Uncollected or Refused Parcels

If a parcel is returned to us because delivery was refused, the parcel was not collected, the delivery details were incorrect, or charges shown at checkout as payable on delivery were not paid, we will process the refund after the product is returned to us and inspected. Any direct return costs or carrier charges billed to us because of the failed delivery may be deducted from the refund.

If the parcel is not returned to us by the carrier or customs authority, we may be unable to issue a refund until the product is recovered.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us immediately. In such cases, packaging requirements are waived. We will handle the return shipping at our expense and offer either a full refund or a replacement.

For damaged, defective, or incorrect items, we will arrange the return or replacement shipment using a carrier and service selected by us.

Refund Processing

Once we receive your return, we inspect it within 5 business days and notify you of the result. If the return is approved, we issue a refund to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note that banks and payment providers may require additional time to process the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we confirmed your refund, contact us at info@ichess.one.
